The 2015 RAISEonline report (as used by OFSTED to support schools with self-evaluation) shows that the school’s exam results are statistically significantly above the national average in terms of students achieving five GCSEs at grades A*-C including English and mathematics as well as in the English Baccalaureate measure. Value added measures also show that student achievement is statistically significantly above the national average when looking at students’ performance in their best 8 subjects.

Policy for Entering Students for Public Examinations
Students are entered for public examinations. In determining entries, full attention is given to students’ and parents’ wishes. Students in the Latin group are likely to be entered for GCSE Latin at the end of Year 10. Students are also encouraged to enter examinations in languages which they may have learnt at home or elsewhere.
